Sir William Bosi and the Excalibur Quest | Video Premiere

In February, Will Bosi completed the second ascent of Excalibur (9b+) in Arco. A new video project inspired by the Arthurian saga follows the exceptional Scottish climber on his heroic quest..

When Stefano Ghisolfi Excalibur (9b +) in bow freed, it was clear to the Italian: This was the hardest ascent of his career to date and therefore "definitely 9b+".

However, his long-term project was set up by someone else – the line was originally designed by Christian Dorigatti and Morris Fontanari. At one point, it was even considered a potential 9c.

What an incredible route, what a journey.

Ghisolfis Proposal for the difficulty level 9b+ should hold: Exactly two years after its first ascent, Will Bosi on 3 February 2025 for the first time. He confirmed the grade 9b+ for Excalibur – a short but steep ledge test piece, which Brooke Raboutou in April the title as first woman in grade 9b+ should bring.

Now Will Bosi gives insights into his project planning process in Excalibur (9b+) – in a video that brings back memories of the Arthurian saga.
