Combination of climbing and base jumping

Dean combined the various disciplines even among other things Free solo climbing and base jumping, which resulted in Free Base.

He climbed steep multi-pitch routes with a base jump parachute and triggered it in the event of a fall. The following video shows Dean Potter while free base climbing the route The Rostrum with the Alien Roof.
