early May Dylan Chuat within a few sessions Super final (9a) as well Le Voile de Maya (8b+/8c) climb. Shortly before the ascension weekend, the strong western Swiss went one step further and made the second ascent of the 9a + route HyperFinal.
Hyper Final: Fast and unexpected
Hyper Final (9a+) is right next to the famous one La Cabane du Canada and is almost 40 meters long. It leads through an impressive overhang and is peppered with tricky boulders. One of them, a crusade around the 8A+/B, is a few meters before the deflector. Although there is a rest point beforehand, you already have 35 meters 9a in your arms.
"I climbed the route very quickly," says Dylan Chuat, who had no intention of assembling the individual sequences of the route that day. But somehow everything just seemed to fit perfectly that day.
