Film premiere: Stone Locals - The soul of rock climbing

On August 28, 2020, the climbing documentary "Stone Locals - The Soul of Rock Climbing" by Patagonia will celebrate its premiere.

For once, the film is not about professionals, but about five climbers who keep the soul of climbing in their communities and nurture it as the sport develops. Like Daniel Pohl, who combines art and climbing with his mystical bouldering paradise Avalonia and has thus created real added value for his community.

Climbing has always been more than just a sport. Climbing offers individualists who share a common passion, a philosophy of life and a surrogate family.

Lately the sport has become mainstream.

State-of-the-art fitness studios are springing up in major cities around the world, the rock faces are more crowded than ever and a climbing film has been awarded an Oscar.

Five personalities portrayed

As the sport struggles with its growing popularity, the people who embody its core and community carry more responsibility than ever. These are the people who advise, support and inspire others, who listen and learn as much as they teach.

The film Stone Locals tells the stories of five of these anchors, the Stone Locals, who hold the soul of climbing and nurture it as the sport evolves.

Film Stone Locals - Premiere on August 28, 2020 / 02.00:XNUMX a.m.
