«My most successful climbing trip ever» – Laura Rogora wins

Italian professional climber Laura Rogora climbed numerous hard lines during her recent stay in Slovenia, including three 9a's.

At the end of the year and the start of the new year, Laura Rogora a clear statement: I'm fit! Within a week, she climbed three 9a routes and five routes in the 5c/+ range without a rest day. Given the short length of stay, she didn't have much time to plan the individual routes. She needed one to three attempts for each of the 8c/+ routes, and it didn't take much longer for the three 8as either.

What a trip. This was the most successful climbing trip of my life!

Laura Rogora

The climbing area Misja Peč in the southwest of Slovenia, together with Aspen probably the most popular climbing destination in the region. Strongly overhanging and long routes await visitors - ideal terrain for Laura Rogora, who is known for her endurance on steep routes.

The ticklist of Laura Rogora's trip to Slovenia:

  • Xaxid Hostel 9a (6th go)
  • Sanjski Par Extension 9a
  • Martin Krpan 9a (4th go)
  • Človek Ne Jezi Se L2 8c+ (2nd go)
  • Hysteria 8c+ (3rd go)
  • Sanjski Par 8c+
  • Strelovod 8c (1st go, although she knew the first part of the route Martin Krpan)
  • Talk is Cheap 8c (3rd go)
