The German climber Moritz Welt climbs the line Lazarus (9a +) drilled by Markus Bock in the Frankenjura. For more than a year, the 21-year-old worked on the beta that was right for him for the heavily overhanging route on the Leaning Death.

Martina Demmel climbs home to Africa (9a)

The German climber Martina Demmel scores her long-term project Heim nach Afrika (9a) in Kochel am See. The mega-diagonal, on which she worked for two years, is a combination of the existing three routes Baby Love (8b +), madness fat booty (8b +) and QL (8c).

Adam Ondra climbs Water World 9a onsight

And again Adam Ondra announces a success: He manages the onsight ascent of the Route Water World in the climbing area Osp, Slovenia.

Historical Onsight Walk of Chaehyun Seo | L'Antagonista (8c)

Chaehyun Seo is only the second woman ever to onsight climb an 8c route. In La Morera de Montsant, Spain, the 19-year-old South Korean scored the 60-meter-long mega route L'Antagonista. On the same day she also managed the onsight ascent of Hidrofóbia (8b).

The 19-year-old Italian Giorgio Tomatis secures one of the rare ascents of Lapsus, Italy's first 9b route, in Andonno. The route first climbed by Stefano Ghisolfi in 2015 has so far been repeated by climbing greats such as Adam Ondra, Marcello Bombardi and Jonathan Siegrist.

Yesterday Adam Ondra made the first ascent of Zvěřinec (9b +) in the Moravian Karst climbing area in the Czech Republic. According to his own statements, it is the most difficult route of his life after Silence (9c) - and that means something.
