Two climbing films that will take your breath away

For the weekend we have two visually stunning films for you, both of which are about ice climbing: Stefan Siegrist repeats the legendary Crack Baby ice route near Kandersteg together with Michael Gruber, who was the first to climb it. Dani Arnold went in search of crazy ice lines in Iceland and struck gold.

crack baby (350m, IV, WI6) is one of the most famous ice lines in Europe. On February 15, 1993 by Xavier Bongard and Michael Gruber first climbed, the impressive 11-pitch tour near Kandersteg has lost none of its appeal 30 years later. The Swiss professional alpinist climbs in memory of Xaver Bongard, who died in a BASE jump accident Stephan Siegrist again through the mega tour together with Michael Gruber, partly with original equipment.

Jötnar - In the land of the Norse giants

Dani Arnold is known for its breathtaking solo ascents of the great north faces. The Swiss mountain guide and professional climber is also an adventurer and always on the lookout for steep ice. In spring 2022 he went to Iceland with friends. The ice formations and landscapes they encountered in the land of the Norse giants are difficult to put into words. Fortunately, the team had cameras and drones with them.
