"Safe on the mountain" now available in bookstores

The book series Sicherheit am Berg of the Austrian Alpine Association contains valuable basic knowledge and in-depth know-how for advanced users. The booklets are now available in bookstores.

Whether it’s mountain hiking, indoor and rock climbing, high-altitude tours in glaciated high mountains, off-piste ski tours or via ferrata – if you want to enjoy your active leisure activities in the mountains on your own responsibility, you should also be able to rely on the appropriate risk awareness.

The "Sicher Am Berg" booklets from the Austrian Alpine Association - originally designed as teaching materials - have everything you need for this. With compact texts, logical structures and reduction to the essentials, they summarize safety-relevant aspects as well as the latest safety recommendations and equipment standards for every mountain sports discipline in an easily understandable way.

Photos and graphics explain facts and thus provide useful basic knowledge for beginners and in-depth know-how for advanced users. Regular revisions every two years guarantee the greatest possible topicality. Renowned top knowledge from experts, practice-oriented and optimally prepared for the most popular alpine sports.

Previously, the "Safe on the Mountain" book series was only available to Alpine Club members, but now it's also available in bookstores. The most important recommendations from the experts of the Austrian Alpine Association for a wide variety of alpine sports are now made available to all mountain enthusiasts.
