The start of the IFSC World Cup season 2023: From April 21st to 23rd, the first Bouldering World Cup of the season will take place in Hachioji, Japan. The strongest climbers in the world compete in the Esforta Arena. We have put together the most important information and the live stream for you.

From April 21 to 23, 2023, the who's who of the international climbing elite will meet for the first time IFSC Bouldering World Cup of the season in Hachioji.

The high-flyer Janja Garnbret, who has dominated the competition in recent years, is in vain in the starting field of Hachioji. She is still recovering from an injury, although the term recovering from the strong Slovenian is not entirely appropriate, as the video below shows.

Important information about the live streams

The semi-finals and finals of the men's and women's competitions will be broadcast live worldwide on the IFSC YouTube channel streamed. However, this does not apply to countries within Europe. As communicated last year, the International Sport Climbing Federation is one Cooperation with the paid streaming platform Discovery+ received.

Accordingly, viewers in Europe can watch the semi-finals and finals live Discovery + and / or the Eurosport Player track, provided they buy a corresponding subscription. Those who cannot or do not want to do this have no choice but to wait a day. Each round will be available to watch for free on the Olympic Channel 24 hours later.
