The Turk Mümin Karabas is back in shape after a five-month break from climbing. In the popular winter climbing area of Geyikbayiri near the Turkish seaside resort of Antalya, he opened perhaps the first 9a in the country.
"When I show up at a new area, I'm like a dog that's just been let off its leash. I'm completely unable to control my excitement, ”explains Mümin. He also describes opening up new routes as his passion. In February of this year, the 35-year-old managed the first ascent of the route after a long break from climbing Rock Erotics, The difficulty is Mümin 8c + / 9a.
