Clean Up Day 2018 at Magic Wood

On Saturday and Sunday, 25. and 26. August 2018, organizes the Interest Group Magic Wood zusammen mit Bodhi Climbing & the Edelweiss Inn the 9. Clean Up Day. As in the previous year, there will be a charity bouldering event in favor of ClimbAID.

Like every year, the organizers are once again expecting a large number of volunteer helpers who are committed to a green and clean bouldering area. The aim of the Clean Up Day is to sensitize the climbing scene as well as the local population to the sustainable use of nature. After work is done bouldering together and celebrated at the Bodhi Camping with barbecue and live music properly. Play this year Al-Berto & the Fried Bikinis under the stars.

Climbing for a good cause

For the second time, a charity boulder event will be held as part of the Clean Up Day, with participants contributing money to the aid organization ClimbAID collect. With the boulder mobile "A Rolling Rock" brings ClimbAID since mid-August 2017 movement, joy and color in the dreary life of Syrian and Palestinian refugees in the Bekaatal. Here the organizers are still looking for sponsors who support the participants with an amount per boulder climbed. All of the money goes into the ClimbAID aid project.

Confess color

Another highlight of the Clean Up Day - albeit voluntarily - is climbing in brightly colored, bright leggings. At the end of the day, the best outfit will be awarded. “We hope to be able to greet as many people as possible. Dear climbers, take the opportunity to show the climbing scene and the community that you care about the environment too, ”said Thomas Saluz from the Magic Wood interest group.
