Tobi Ebner climbs left half bell free solo

The Austrian climber, coach and route builder Tobi Ebner committed the route left half bell without any hedge (free solo) earlier this month.

"Just me, my chalkbag and a pair of climbing shoes," wrote Tobi on Instagram the day after his free solo ascent. On June 3, 2019, the 24-year-old Austrian slipped into his climbing shoes, put on his magnesium bag and started climbing.

“Some may call it free solo, others may call it highball. In any case, it was an intense experience that I fully enjoyed. That's the most important!"
