Schubert and Pilz climb to victory in record time | Red Bull Dual Ascent

Jessica Pilz and Jakob Schubert won this year's Red Bull Dual Ascent on the Verzasca Dam with ease. In just 48 minutes and 46 seconds, the Austrian duo mastered the six rope lengths up to 8b and left their Swiss competitors Sascha Lehmann and Andrea Kümin no chance.

The final began as a neck-and-neck race between Pilz and Kümin. But Kümin slipped on the difficult crack pitch, causing the Swiss team to fall behind. Schubert also had problems on the crack, but was able to maintain his lead.

From the tear to the top I had such an incredible pump that I really had to fight.

Full performance until the end

Lehmann and Kümin tried to catch up in the last few pitches, but Pilz and Schubert were too strong. Schubert reached the platform in under 43 minutes, and Pilz followed soon after. Lehmann and Kümin also fought their way through to the end and finished with a time of 56 minutes.

We tried to push ourselves even harder than in the semi-finals. Maybe we pushed ourselves too hard
