Yannick Flohé climbs his hardest route to date with Lazarus (9a+).

Yannick Flohé repeats Lazarus (9a+) at the Leaning Death in the Franconian Jura. For the 24-year-old bouldering specialist, it is the first sport climbing route of this level of difficulty.

Yannick Flohe regularly draws attention to himself by climbing the most difficult boulders. But the German climber is also extremely strong on the rope - if he takes the time for it. He's with him in the Franconian Jura Lazarus recently completed his first 9a+ route. Flohé climbed the line set up by Markus Bock while passing through a training camp and only needed four attempts.

The First ascent of Lazarus Moritz Welt was able to claim this in November 2022. In September 2023, Flohé's teammate Alex Megos repeated the route, which begins on a short vertical ledge and then transitions into a 50-degree overhang.

Yannick Flohé has scored various 9a routes in recent years, including Zoolander in the Red River Gorge, geocache in the Franconian Jura, or Wild Publico in Margalef. His current focus is on Olympic qualification. After that, as he revealed to Vertical Life, he wants to devote more time to rock climbing again.
