The Bloctour is a fun bouldering competition that has existed since 2018 and is becoming increasingly popular and is now going into the next round in 2024, which is bigger than ever. 5 regions (Tyrol, Vorarlberg, Eastern Switzerland, South Tyrol, Lake Constance region) from 4 countries are represented at the BlocTour with a total of 23 halls.
Anyone (ages 8 and up) can join the BlocTour for his/her home hall. 20.3 boulders will be marked in each participating hall during the qualification period (March 1.5.24th - May 40st, 1). Boulders 30-11 are youth boulders, boulders 40-XNUMX are for the open class.
You get one point in the scoring app for each boulder you complete, and 1,2 points for each boulder you complete. The more points collected in the halls of a region, the better the ranking.
In each region, the top 10 qualify as so-called hard movers and the top 10 based on the average points as soft movers for the region finals. In addition to the regional winners, the indoor challenge cup is also contested there, which is endowed with a generous amount of beer.
BlocMaster
There will now be some good news in 2024. We were able to agree with the Bloc Summer Session from eastern Austria on a joint superfinal as part of the World Cup in the Innsbruck climbing center on June 30.6.24th, XNUMX.
Under the traditional name BlocMaster This hobby Austria bouldering championship will be held as a jam competition on the final day of the World Cup.
The youth classes climb in the BlocMaster Talents on the World Cup wall on the holds of the World Cup for the title of BlocMasters. The best 5 women and men from each region climb on the outer wall of the KI
(= federal states AT + South Tyrol, Eastern Switzerland, Lake Constance) for the title of BlocMaster.
Austria Climbing sponsors a ticket for the Saturday competitions of the World Cup for all young participants and a 50% discount voucher for the lead final on Sunday evening for all participants in the Open Class.
