Charles Albert announces the successful first ascent of 8c + Boulder La Révolutionnaire - barefoot!

Once again, Charles makes a super heavy comeback. In the sector Gros Sablons of the French bouldering area Fontainebleau he managed to extend the 8c-Boulder La Révolutionnaire. Charles, also called Mowgli, climbed this boulder in December of last year. Now he succeeded in the extended version that checks in at 8c +. As befits “Mowgli”, he climbed barefoot. If the grade is confirmed, it would be the hardest boulder in Fontainebleau and one of the toughest bouldering problems in the world.

With their free ascent of "Déjà" on the south face of the Kirchlispitzen, the Austrian woman and the Italian man have completed their hardest project to date in the Rätikon. It is the first time the line has ever been repeated – and probably the first time a woman has climbed a multi-pitch route graded 8c+.
