Alexander Rohr climbs again a 9a

The 21-year-old Bernese Alexander Rohr made the third ascent of Chromosome Y (8c + / 9a) in Charmey last Sunday.

The route was first opened by Pirmin Bertle and had only experienced a repeat of Adam Ondra. Alexander also cracked the route on Sunday. However, it tends to slightly downgrade the route and classifies it as 8c + or lightweight 9a.

Alexander Rohr's comment

"Bääm !!! On Sunday I managed to do the third ascent of 'Chromosome Y' 9a in Charmey after Pirmin and Adam Ondra. Although the route seemed to be more like 8c + / 9a for me, it's just an amazing one…. I tried it last year some days and was far from success and this this year it took me only two days! "
