Free Solo Climbing: Russian Roulette or Calculated Risk?

Free soloing is considered the purest and at the same time the most serious form of climbing. We spoke to Alexander Huber, Dani Arnold and Stefan Glowacz about the fascination and risks of rope-free climbing. Three climbing sizes with three opinions that couldn't be more different.

The show is presented by Petzl

What's the appeal of climbing large walls or tough sport climbing routes without ropes and unsecured? How dangerous it is Free Solo Climbing and how well can risks be calculated or controlled? And when is the right time to stop this form of climbing?

We discussed questions like these with some of the best free solo climbers in the world: Alexander Huber, Daniel Arnold and Stefan Glowacz.

Also in this program we take a closer look at what the publicly expressed criticism of the IFSC NEOM Masters is all about, as well as the threatened access bans in Val Bavona.
