Double success for Giuliano Cameroni: Bouldered 8B+ twice in one day

The week could not have started better for Swiss professional climber Giuliano Cameroni. Two projects fell within one day - both in the first attempt. Fight Club and Ninjutsu, both rated 8B+.

Just a day ago we published an article with the title "Boulder world elite besieged blocks in Ticino", in which we summarized the recent successes of the professionals in Ticino. And the next success message follows. This time from the local heroes Giuliano Cameroni.

"It's just awesome when everything comes together, especially when you're not expecting it. Actually, a comfortable day was announced, but the conditions were just too good not to give it a try. »

Fight Club falls first

Giuliano actually wanted to start the day more comfortably. But the perfect temperatures, the weather and the wind were so perfect that his fingers were itching too hard. Giuliano pushed the "rest day" plan overboard and climbed into a boulder that Jimmy Webb discovered in 2019, Shawn Raboutou 2022 first ascent and Cameroni already tried in the past: Fight Club (8B+).

A few moves later the spit was over, with a decent pump, but with the inspection in the bag. First go of the day, mind you.

The Boulder Ninjitsu was the second course on the menu

As it is on the "Low Gravity Days", you just fly up the blocks. And so it was not just Boulder Fight Club for Cameroni that day.

"After Fight Club, we dragged a few pads to another impressive block where Marco Müller recently made a first ascent: Ninjutsu (8B+)."

Giuliano Cameroni

At the Boulder Ninjutsu (8B+) is a complex and powerful line that was recently climbed for the first time by Marco Müller. Cameroni has already tried the boulder and worked on the beta, but so far he has not been successful.

Actually, one would assume that after climbing an 8B+ boulder, there would not be much power left and the daily target would be reached. But Cameroni teaches us otherwise. He got into bouldering ninjutsu and climbed straight to the top. Also here: First go of the day.
