Nalle Hukkataival on the evolution of difficulty levels and his favorite boulder area

Nalle Hukkataival wrote climbing history when he participated in the 23. October 2016 the 9a Boulder Burden of Dreams climbed. No one in front of the Finn ever scored a boulder on this difficulty level. A few weeks ago we met the 32 year-old in the heart of Switzerland and talked to him about the future development of the difficulty levels and asked him what his favorite bouldering area in Switzerland is.

It's a historic place where we call Black Diamond brand ambassadors Nalle Hukkataival met in spring 2018: Am Teufelsstein near Göschenen. The 2-ton, 000-meter-high boulder was moved 13 meters 45 years ago on behalf of the federal government in order to create the space required for the construction of the Gotthard road tunnel.

The limiting factor for the development of the levels of difficulty are the conditions - Nalle Hukkataival

At this very highball have the Ticino Giuliano Cameroni (here in Interview with LACRUX) worked on a new line in April. A few days after the interview with Nalle and the meeting with Giuliano, the two have Deal with the Devil (8b / +) cracked.

Selected for you: Boulder Essentials from Black Diamond

Black Diamond is not just a brand. What started with an anvil in the backyard has grown into a global company on three continents today. Nevertheless, Black Diamond has not lost the wire to the climbing community. They have remained faithful to their motto of making innovative products of climbers, for climbers. We felt that when we met Kolin Powick, responsible for product development, Linh Nguyen, designer, and many other employees at the 2018 World Climbing Championships in Innsbruck. They are all passionate about developing innovative products. Below we would like to introduce you to a small but fine selection of boulder products that we personally have put through their paces.

Boulder mats - Impact and Mondo

The Impact With its compact masses (100 x 114 x 10 cm) is a pad for everyday use.
