New bouldering sector opened in Chironico: Full Ring

The Chironico bouldering area in Ticino already has several thousand bouldering lines, making it one of the most popular destinations in the climbing scene. Now Nils Favre from western Switzerland has opened a new sector near Schattental. This video introduces most of the boulders.

Has almost 80 bouldering problems spread over 20 blocks Nils Favre developed together with friends between January and February 2024. The new sector at Chironico is called Full Ring and is located not far from the already known sector Shadow Valley, around 50 meters above the famous boulder Conqueror (8A+).

The blocks are distributed in the Ticinetto riverbed and are ground accordingly round. Slopers and round exits await motivated repeaters. Some people will find themselves crawling on their stomachs at the boulder exit.

The area is not only aimed at the climbing elite, because in addition to numerous bouldering courses in the eighth French level, many of the new lines that have been opened are in the sixth and seventh levels of difficulty.

The new bouldering lines are recorded in the Topo app 27 Crags. In the app, all boulders are captured with images and the details of the new Full Ring sector are listed.
