Now it's official: Adam Ondra is a mammoth athlete

A week ago it was pretty much clear - now it's official. The Swiss mountaineering outfitter Mammut signs Adam Ondra. More in the following message from Mammut.

Adam Ondra is the newest member of the climbing team of the Swiss mountaineering brand Mammut Sports Group AG. With his ambition and passion, the 28-year-old is constantly driving his successes and climbing.

The Czech Ondra meets an already strong climbing team at Mammut. Together with the Austrian Jakob Schubert, the British Madeleine Cope and the Swiss Katherine Choong Ondra completes the Mammut Climbing Team. Stephan Siegrist, Head of Athletes and Ambassadors at Mammut, is enthusiastic: "With Adam, a personality has joined the Mammut family who inspires both athletes and climbing enthusiasts all over the world."

The man of records

Even as a teenager, Adam Ondra was one of the world leaders in the climbing scene. In recent decades, the five-time climbing world champion has achieved numerous international successes and records. He won numerous lead and bouldering competitions, climbed the multi-pitch route "Dawn Wall" 9a (5.14d) on El Capitan and climbed the world's first 2017c route in 9 with Silence in Flatanger, Norway.

For Ondra it is clear: «When I climb, I always strive for perfection, just like Mammut strives for perfection with its products. Mammut offers me equipment that I can rely on 100% and we both share an unbridled passion for climbing. With Mammut as an experienced partner, I am convinced that I can continue to exploit my potential.»
