Half crimp, drag, sloper and more: Lattice coaches break down every grip type

Which hold type benefits you the most? How do you train slopers effectively? And how do you build the necessary strength for pockets and monos without damaging your ligaments? In a new video, lattice coaches Jen and Billy address these very questions and work their way through (almost) every hold type you'll find on rock and in the gym.

Half crimp, drag, sloper, full crimp, pinch, undercut, pockets, monos, and a few truly unusual specialty grips: Anyone who takes their finger training seriously will inevitably face the question of which grip types deserve priority and how to develop them without risking injury. This is precisely where the two Lattice coaches come in. Each grip is evaluated according to three criteria: transferability, trainability, and risk of injury.
