Training tip for explosive and blocking power: Pull Through

The snow is slowly but surely falling deeper and many people dig their touring skis out of the cellar. Climbing in halfway humane conditions is only possible in very mild and south-exposed locations. For some this means “finally a break from climbing”, for others “finally training inside again”. Our guest author Christoph Völker from target10a shows you a simple exercise with which you can train your explosive and blocking powers.

A guest contribution by Christoph Völker

To start the exercise, you hang with both hands on the start bar (second bar) of your campus board. Ideally you stand with your feet on a bar to relieve your fingers. First you grasp a bar with your left hand, then dynamically pick up two bars. From there it goes straight down to the bottom bar and then up three bars. You repeat the whole thing by trying to get as high as possible with your left hand. The right hand stays on the taskbar all the time.
